ลักษณะและพัฒนาการของวรรณคดีไทยตั้งแต่สุโขทัยจนถึงสมัยก่อนการเปลี่ยนแปลงการปกครอง พ.ศ. 2475 ในด้านรูปแบบ แนวคิด เนื้อหา กลวิธีการประพันธ์ ตลอดจนความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างวรรณคดีกับบริบททางสังคมและการเมืองแต่ละสมัย และฝึกปฏิบัติวิเคราะห์วรรณคดีไทยเรื่องสำคัญของแต่ละสมัย
